Ammonium salt of Glyphosate 71% S.G. is a non-selective, post-emergence herbicide for the control of annual perennial, broadleaf and grassy weeds. Ammonium salt of Glyphosate 71% SG when applied to foilage reaches the roots and rhizpmes of the plant by the process of translocation, thus destroying the weeds from below the ground. It is especially effective against the difficult to control weeds.

Direction of Use

Apply to perennial weeds as post emergence application which should be have at least 4 to 8 leaves so that translocation into the plant can occur. Very early treatment of vegetation may reduce weed control but good results are obtained by treating mature plant. Glyphosate 71% S.G. is to be diluted with clean water and sprayed uniformly using an efficient sprayer at dosage given in table. Measure out quantity of the product and mix it well with required quantity of water. Application is to be done through knapsack or backpack sprayer. PLANT PROTECTION EQUIPMENT: Standard knapsack or backpack sprayer fitted with fan jet cone or flood jet nozzle are satisfactory for spraying. The manufacturer warrants the quality of the product if acquired by the closed in sealed, original packing.

Do not use cooking utensils for preparing sprays. Use stick for stirring the spray. Wear hand gloves to avoid contact with your skin. also avoid inhalation and contact with eyes. Wear protecting clothing, mask, goggles and boots while spraying and do not expose yourself to spray drift. Do not blow nozzles with mouth. Do not eat, drink or smoke while handling or applying the product. Do not store unused spray solution.

Symptoms Of Poisoning

It is primarily irritant to skin, eyes and respiratory tract.

First Aid

Symptomatic, harmful if swallowed. Do not get into the eyes, skin and clothes. In case of contact, wash immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minute. In case of poisoning, call a physician. Clean sprayer, buckets and other utensils with water daily after use. Wash hands with soap and lenty of water and change cloths after working is over. Also wash the contaminated clothes. Do not contaminate streams, ponds, waterways etc. by discharging leftover spray material in to them or by cleaning sprayers, contaminated buckets etc. in them. Do not spray when bees are active. When used at recommended dosages, no adverse effect on wild life. In case of any sign of poisoning, immediately contact with doctor.

Disposal Of Used Container

  • It shall be the duty of manufacturers, formulators of herbicide and operators to dispose packages or surplus material and washing in a safe manner so as to prevent environmental or water pollution.
  • The used packages shall not be kept outside to prevent their reuse.
  • The packages shall be broken and buried away from habitation.

Storage Conditions

The package containing the material shall be stored in separate rooms or premises away from the rooms or premises used for storing other articles or shall be kept in separate almirah under lock and key depending upon the quantity and nature of the material. The rooms or premises means for storing shall be well built, dry, well lit and ventilated and of sufficient dimension.
